Apogee Case Studies

Apogee’s capabilities and tailored solutions are designed to meet the growing needs of defense and national security priorities. Below are several case studies that showcase a vibrant snapshot of Apogee’s commitment to delivering innovative technology solutions, strategic consulting, and support services to meet the unique needs of its clients.

ARECE: Augmented Reality Enhanced Cyber Environment

Apogee pioneers the convergence of cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) technology and military preparedness. Our ARECE solution, seamlessly integrated with Commercial-off-the Shelf (COTS) solutions such as Vision Pro, Magic Leap and Microsoft HoloLens, redefine the landscape of warfighter training, elevating network security, predictive maintenance, and threat detection and mitigation. This technology transforms the learning experience into one that mirrors real-world cyber threats, ensuring that warfighters is trained and fully prepared.

ARECE offers numerous advantages in cyber training. By overlaying digital information onto the physical environment, trainees can contextualize information and interactive simulations, increasing the understanding and retention of complex concepts. ARECE is equipped with high-resolution displays, motion sensors, and spatial mapping capabilities, providing trainees with immersive visualizations in allow size, weight, and power, and cost (SWAP-C) configuration. Haptic feedback devices can be integrated to enhance interactivity by simulating tactile sensations. These applications incorporate real-time physics simulations, spatial recognition algorithms, and networking capabilities for collaborative training exercises. Subject matter experts collaborate with instructional designers and software developers to create engaging training content which increases complex scenarios as they progress to challenge their problem-solving abilities. Performance metrics such as completion time, accuracy, and proficiency in simulated scenarios are tracked and analyzed to identify areas for improvement. Instructors provide individualized feedback based on trainee performance, addressing misconceptions, and reinforcing critical concepts.

USSOCOM

Apogee acquisition and engineering professionals recently provided critical services to SOF AT&L’sProgram Executive Office–Maritime (PEO-M) to reach significant milestones in USSOCOM’s highest priority acquisition programs. PEO-M’s Undersea team encountered significant challenges to their Multi-Mission Dry Submersible (MMDS) program that put a roadblock in their path to releasing a critical RFPto industry. Over the last 30 days, the Apogee Team provided expert consultation and deliverables to PEO-M’s leadership and SOF AT&L’s Acquisition Executive (AE) that were decisive in the AE authorizing the program to proceed with the MMDSRFP, a significant milestone in delivering one of USSOCOM’s top three capabilities.

Meanwhile, the Apogee Team enabled Undersea to achieve the last milestone before the Dry CombatSubmersible (DCS) is authorized to operate and deploy. Again, Apogee professionals worked across avast network of Government and industry stakeholders, including Naval Special Warfare operators, to provide engineering-level testing, analysis, and recommendations to the Government that allowed theAE to concur with the embarkation of the DCS platform onboard a surface support vessel, closing a 20+year USSOCOM capability gap with a state-of-the-art mission system. Moreover, the Apogee Team

provided critical acquisition services to PEO-M’s Combat Diving program as they worked to field and deploy SOF combat divers onboard DCS.

Cave

In today’s dynamic cyber landscape, effective training is paramount for preparing personnel to defend critical infrastructure and national security interests. Traditional training methods often lack the practical experience needed to combat real-world cyber threats. Our Consolidated Apogee Virtual Environment (CAVE) platform offers a transformative solution that revolutionizes cyber training within the Department of Defense (DoD) and related programs. Our platform serves esteemed entities such as the 561st, CSCS program, and Space Force Delta 6, integral components of the Department of Defense. These organizations require innovative solutions to deliver immersive, hands-on cyber training experiences tailored to their unique requirements.

Our virtualization platform simplifies the creation and deployment of training environments. Range engineers can quickly generate customized ranges from specific requirements using our intuitive interface. Prebuilt templates facilitate the rapid deployment of virtual machines across various operating systems, ensuring a seamless setup process. Our platform enables realistic, hands-on training experiences that simulate operational environments. Each trainee receives access to dedicated virtual machines connected to dynamic networks, fostering engagement and skill development. This approach enhances retention and equips personnel with the proficiency needed to address evolving cyber threats effectively.
